Here are some examples of foliage in my game, Persephone's Cup. I have created leaf foliage that has a variable wind effect, emitters that spawn falling blossoms, and blades of grass that are low cost and use a wind system.
An example of the foliage in the garden level, featuring meadow flowers and pond reeds. 
All foliage is created with the use of shaders in Unreal Engine.
